In tribute to a dedicated leader of the Middlesex County 4H Fife and Drum Corps:

You inspired us all to do and be our best. You showed your kindness and devotion to the “kids” and the Corps at all times.

You were a great father and husband. We will always “remember our history and play it loud” with you in our thoughts.

The Middlesex County 4-H Fife & Drum Corps was formed in 1972 as a 4-H club in Concord, Massachusetts in anticipation of that town’s celebration of our country’s bicentennial. Today, its members come from over a dozen different towns in eastern Massachusetts, and they range in age from eight to seventeen. Youth leadership is the cornerstone of 4-H and this fife & drum corps embodies just that. The kids, quite literally, run the show. All of its members share a love of music and history, and are proud to carry the tradition of fife and drum into the future.

In addition to numerous parades and civic ceremonies, the 4-H corps has marched through the hallways of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, participated in living history days at our National Historical Parks, and performed for crowds in Market Square in Colonial Williamsburg. And for over 30 years, the 4-H Fifes & Drums has performed as the Honor Corps for the Concord Patriots Day parade, leading the procession across the historic North Bridge to commemorate the start of the American Revolution. On April 13, 2008, the Corps played at the Bedford Polecapping, Merriam's Corner in Concord, and the Paul Revere Capture Site in Lincoln. Below is a video taken from the event at the Paul Revere Capture Site.
